🏰 Zahara de la Sierra Castle

A Nasrid keep on a 500-metre crag, whose capture by the Christians in 1481 triggered the final war of Granada. It dominates the reservoir and the whole valley.

🦅 The Green Gorge

A spectacular canyon carved by the Bocaleones stream in Grazalema. Its walls reach 400 metres and barely let light in, sheltering the monumental Garganta cave-chapel.

Seven kilometres of hairpins between Zahara and Grazalema to a viewpoint at 1,357 metres where dozens of griffon vultures glide at road level.
